Gamer Blast

Hacker extraordinaire George Hotz (more commonly known as his internet alias, Geohot, and most well-known for his iDevice jailbreak called “Blackra1n“), claims to have finally hacked the previously impenetrable Playstation 3 console. With both other consoles in the current generation hacked beyond belief, this could be breaking news.
On his blog is where he makes the claim.

I have read/write access to the entire system memory, and HV level access to the processor. In other words, I have hacked the PS3.

He claims that the exploit is not patchable, but that Sony can make implementations of the patch harder with updates and whatnot. All of this, he claims, is done without a modchip.
What exactly is possible with his exploits and how safe they are are currently unknown, as he says that he is not revealing exactly what’s been done just yet.
