MAG DLC Hits Next Week, And It’s Free!

Posted by Connor on March - 18 - 2010

If there’s anything that I love more than a great game, it’s a great game with committed developers. MAG is an online first-person shooter that supports a massive 256-player game size, making for incredibly large-scale battles. I haven’t tried it out yet, but it looks fantastic, and I’ve been following the news on it since the game was announced. A lot of the news has been posted on the Playstation blog, where developers and... Read→

Around that time, the gaming review sites, always start receiving review samples from EA, for upcoming game releases and other new stuff they have in the works. This time 1up got them first, and on their site they posted images of a document showing, what appears to be the release date of Dragon Age II, for the first quarter of 2011. The Playstation Move – Worth Any Hype?

Posted by Connor on March - 11 - 2010

The Playstation Move is the much expected motion controller that was announced by Sony yesterday. It’s very much like the Nintento Wii remote, in that… Well, it looks almost exactly the same. It’s a wand that you hold and move around to have things change accordingly on-screen. But this one’s black, with a giant light at the end of it. At first, the device looks a little ridiculous… Looks awkward, and a bit more like... Read→

Mac Gaming Gaining Traction

Posted by Connor on March - 10 - 2010

Mac computers have always been shamed by their lack of support from game developers. It’s one of the key arguments against the Mac operating system in all “Mac vs. PC” debates, and there’s nothing anybody can say back. It’s the truth. Well, it WAS the truth. It’s quickly becoming a decent competitor in the gaming world. The most recent and amazing victory in the realm of Mac OS X gaming is the announcement that... Read→

After the first teaser that was shown to the public  in 2005 at the E3, it has finally arrived: The new installment of the famous Final Fantasy series: Final Fantasy XIII. Freshly released for multiple gaming platforms yesterday, in Europe and the United States, already there have been 5 million units, shipped worldwide, which is only one million short of the lifetime sales estimate, published by Square Enix in September 2009. With numbers like... Read→

Ubisoft’s DRM Servers Crash

Posted by Connor on March - 7 - 2010

You may have seen me mocking and ranting about Ubisoft’s DRM that they’ve included in Assassin’s Creed 2. Now consumers who haven’t been paying much attention to gaming news sites such as this are beginning to pay for the unneeded severity of Ubisoft’s rights management software. Following this thread on the Ubisoft website about the issue shows that this issue started many hours ago and is currently ongoing. This is... Read→

In-browser gaming has never been very impressive… Flash games get old after a while. Luckily, services like InstantAction have been stepping up to fill the gap. If you’ve been following the OnLive gaming service, InstantAction is sorta like that, just to a lesser degree. Whereas OnLive will be a paid service that allows you to play very high-quality games from any computer, InstantAction is a free service that allows you to play pretty... Read→

Ubisoft’s Draconian DRM Cracked

Posted by Connor on March - 4 - 2010

A few weeks ago, we talked about Ubisoft’s new DRM and how insanely ridiculous it was. I also mentioned something about… *Rubs chin* What was it? Oh yeah. If pirates want something for free, THEY WILL GET IT. This DRM hurts nobody but the paying consumer. And now that statement has been proven. Assassin’s Creed 2, bearing the new over-the-top DRM from Ubisoft, has been cracked and uploaded to warez sites, torrent sites, and newsgroups... Read→

Grim Little Red Riding Hood

Posted by Kraven on March - 3 - 2010

The famous developer of games: American McGee, has started working on a gory version of  Little Red Riding Hood, and has published concept art for this new game in progress. On his Flickr page the games creator posted: “This is something Ken Wong and I have been working on for years – a concept built on “Little Red Riding Hood” Truth be told, this Little Red Riding Hood kicks butt! The imagery that was shown, comes from the... Read→

Sony Corporation has just announced a glitch which has knocked PlayStation 3 users off the game console’s online network, and the company is warning that data loss could occur if gamers continued using their systems. Sony said in a blog post Monday that the problem was most likely caused by a bug in the system’s clock functionality, which is reminiscent of the Y2K bug a decade ago. So far this glitch is only affecting older PlayStation... Read→
